The Collaboratives of the Archdiocese are called to be strong, stable, intentional, and effective centers of the New Evangelization. A Collaborative is when two or more parishes have one Pastor, Finance Council and Parish Council, but remain two separate entities. The Nashoba Valley Catholic Collaborative is comprised of two rural archdiocesan parishes - Saint Mary in Ayer and Saint Anthony of Padua in Shirley. We are a multi-ethnic, socially, culturally, and educationally diverse faith community. Father Edmond Derosier, Pastor, and the entire community welcome you to Saint Mary's and Saint Anthony's Parishes!

Let us remember the words of Oscar Romero, “This is what we are about: We plant seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise. We lay foundations that will need further development. We provide yeast that produces effects beyond our capabilities.” Make me mindful of the gifts You have seeded in me. Bring them to fruition as I carry out my role. Attune me to the gifts of others so that, together, a garden of grace blossoms from our combined efforts.
